The Question of Development

‘Half Empty or Half Full?’ by Jaxxon

The Price Of Development

15 January – The pastoral text of Fr Reuter is this: There is an unprecedented race for available resources. Development is effectively blocked because of the rise in energy prices. – Benedict XVI. The image has this note below from Jaxxon: ‘Are you an optimist or not?’ The pessimist sees half-empty, the optimist sees half-full. The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist the hole. Development is a two-way street: Either you’re going north or you’re going south. If you allow side issues like energy to side-track you, you’re going nowhere. If you roll on despite side issues like energy, you’re going somewhere. Development is more than resources, more than energy. If energy costs restrain you, you are not optimistic enough, you are not creative enough.

Judging by the angle of the nedle the tank seems to be more like half empty. The angle of the camera just makes it look like it’s in the middle.

What engineer goes by something analog and on top so inaccurate anyways?
